Unlike many organizations that provide supply management consulting services to the healthcare industry or sell products for storage, warehousing and distribution, Logihedron Inc. has on-going hands-on experience with managing and operating a supply management environment.  This involvement and the constant experiences it brings, provides Logihedron with very unique relationships and insights into the actual delivery of these services to individual hospitals and regional hospital groups.  The Oakville warehouse Logihedron manages provides a showcase for the many components and offerings we are able to provide through our other two business divisions. For example:

• We work closely with the end-user departments and understand the clinical needs and service expectations;

• We understand the financials associated with the warehousing and distribution operations in a regional setting and the opportunities for savings and service improvement;

• We have developed productivity standards across all the operational functions both within the warehouse and for the replenishment activities within the hospital facilities;

• We track and report on key performance indicators related to financial, operation and service dimensions of the regional supply program;

• We have developed strong relationships with product suppliers, we understand the hospital products and how they are used;

• We have developed strong relationships with equipment suppliers and understand how equipment can be used most effectively;

• We have been involved in facility layouts and implementation of these layouts and reprofiling of storage equipment and products as demands from the hospitals change;

• We work with many of the main hospital information systems and interface to them from the efficientC system;

• We are involved in product standardization efforts and supplier rationalization; and

• We understand the storage and distribution product needs within the warehouse, for transporting the product to the hospitals and within the hospital for moving and storing product.

The senior management team at Logihedron has combined over 100 years of experience working in the healthcare sector for and with hospitals, product and service suppliers, system providers, consultants, and other organizations involved in providing health care related products and services.  We know what works and what doesn’t work and are able to bring this expertise and experience to all three of our business divisions.
